Zorbas Greek Restaurant & Buffet

Zorbas Greek Restaurant and Buffet is arguably one of the best Greek restaurants in California. This is because for one price you get access to the variety that Greek cuisine has to offer.

If you’re in the San Diego area, I urge you not to miss out on experiencing this Greek buffet. For this reason, I brought my mentor Shambhu to Zorbas before he moved away from San Diego.

Shambhu said he was so grateful I brought him to this special place. And he would have never found such a good Greek buffet on his own.

“The famous Greek diners in New York don’t have such a large selection of delicious Greek meals,” Shambhu said. “But at Zorbas you have it all!”

I've had many colleagues ask me if I've been to Zorbas and if it’s any good.

I told my colleagues I actually grew up going to Zorbas! My dad would bring my family here throughout the years. It has consistently been a quality Greek restaurant that has made for great memories.

Zorbas is also run by Greeks. So, they ensure the food is authentic Greek cooking.

And Zorbas is a hub for Greeks, of course. I remember running into my dad’s cousin here with his family. In fact, my aunt was once a cook here. And the owner is friendly towards customers and befriended my dad this way.

Over the years, the restaurant has thrived. This means that because they cook quality food, the restaurant has invested in remodeling. So, many nice Greek touches have been added that have enhanced the dining experience.

Tip: Take advantage of the homemade tzatziki. Most other Greek restaurants don’t take the time to make quality tzatziki. And you won't find it in the buffet, so just ask for it.
