Artichoke Basille's Pizza

I recently had a mind blowing pizza experience that I highly recommend. It’s at Artichoke Basille's Pizza in Berkeley that I had Artichoke Pizza and Vodka Pizza.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza is superior to others and stands out from the crowd. This is because they make exquisite sauces for their pizzas. It seems they slow cook their sauces for some time. And the result is this flavorful sauce that tastes a million times better than any pizza you've ever had in your life. As I was munching away I thought the crust is thin, but just dense enough to hold the sauce without getting mushy. So, the crust is also another key component that they’ve perfected.

I brought my friend to this pizzeria because I wanted to impress him with this superb pizza. And I happened to be vacationing in the Bay Area in Summer 2018. It’s one of those places that you must experience if you happen to be around there.

My friend didn’t initially want the Artichoke Pizza. He was turned off by the artichoke and instead got the vodka pizza. But when we sat down and shared slices, the taste of the Artichoke Pizza captivated him. He then immediately jumped up out of his chair to order himself a slice and keep the foodgasm going.

This wasn't my first time at Artichoke Basille's Pizza. I discovered this delicacy last summer of 2017 thanks to my second Cousin Roy. Thank you very much!

In fact, the pizza was so good I remember last year with Roy I said, “Sometimes food is better than sex and this is one of those times! Excuse me if that's too much information (TMI).” Hahaha. Ahh, good times.

Apart from the Artichoke Basille's Pizza in Berkeley the majority of their pizzerias are in New York.

In fact, Francis Garcia and Sal Basille, both fourth generation restaurateurs, opened Artichoke Basille’s Pizza in New York City’s East Village in 2008. Since opening their first store Artichoke Basille’s Pizza has expanded to twelve thriving locations across the country. See their locations here.
